This is an "abbreviated" icon of the Second Coming of Christ, depicting Him as the Righteous Judge surrounded by the Theotokos, St. John the Baptist, the apostles and angels, and various saints. In the corners one sees Abraham and Isaac, the Wise Thief, and the Institution of the Eucharist at the Mystical Supper.
